Usher is indisputably one of the smoothest cats around. Everything about him oozes suave. Usher Raymond IV came onto the scene at the tender age of 13 when he competed on the TV show Star Search in the early ’90s, where he was spotted by an A&R rep from LaFace Records and subsequently signed with the label. Since then, he’s sold a zillion records, snapped up five Grammys, and been named Billboard Magazine #1 Hot 100 artist of the 2000s decade. As if that weren’t enough, he started his own record label, US Records (instrumental in jumpstarting the career of teen sensation Justin Bieber), kicked in a reported $375M to be part owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball franchise, opened several restaurants, and hocks his own fragrances for men and women.
