As one of the hottest mega-hunks on one of the hottest TV shows right now, Glee star Mark Salling is on top of the world. A Dallas native, he attended the Los Angeles Music Academy and sings, writes, and produces his own music. He’s even written music for the show, performed by himself and the Glee cast. Before his Glee stint as the venerable Noah “Puck” Puckerman, he debuted an album, Smoke Signals, back in 2008 with Jericho Records. His next album, Pipe Dream–where he is the composer, performer, and producer of every track–is due out next month and being released by his own label, Pipe Dream Records, in partnership with Universal Music Group, no less. The album reportedly has a vibe that gives homage to Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock. Now that sounds eclectic. He is stylishly bespectacled in Ray Ban eyeglasses and gorgeous as ever on the red carpet for a recent AIDS charity event presented by Macy’s. For Mark, this is no “pipe dream”–he’s a bonafide superstar. –rpuccia
