Born in Miami and raised in Los Angeles, Eva Mendes attended Catholic school while growing up and once aspired to become a nun! Who wouldda thought back then that she’d wind up one of Hollywood’s favorite hotties?
She got her start acting in commercials and music videos—one of which, ironically enough, was Will Smith’s Miami in the late 1990s—but her breakthrough role on the big screen was the 2001 police drama Training Day. Eva’s also appeared in hits such as Hitch (with her ole buddy Will) and Knocked Up.
Eva also serves as an international spokeswoman for Revlon Cosmetics and is actively involved in Revlon’s campaign for breast cancer research, but she’s been surrounded by her fair share of controversy for appearing nude in several magazines and advertisements.
