Pennsylvania native Sharon Stone won a beauty pageant in 1977 and following one of the judges’ advice, dropped out of college to head to New York City to pursue modeling. That judge musta had quite an eye because Sharon was signed by Ford Modeling Agency within 4 days of her arrival. After spending a few years in the modeling biz, she decided to pursue acting and took on a few bit parts on both the big and small screens. Her career flew off the handle, though, thanks to her role in the 1990 film Total Recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
