The most famous couple of the underground, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton arrived in Los Angeles this week, just in time for the Oscars. Both are nominated this year: Carter for her role in Les Miserables (best picture) and Burton for Frankenweenie (best animated feature film). Carter and the cast will also be performing a musical number from the movie. We’re really curious as to what the actress will be wearing on the red carpet, since she’s known for her extravagant and unconventional fashion choices. Pictured here, she went boho chic with a maxi floral dress, Prada bag and round, opal sunglasses, while Burton paired his messy hair with black sunglasses and a simple, dark colored outfit. An important “accessory” in Burton’s look is his slingback – the director took a tumble in London, after which he underwent surgery for a metallic plate to be inserted in his bone. “I have a metal plate in there, so I’m part robot now,” he jokes.
