Sarah Jessica Parker tries on new fashion and tech: the Google glasses. Based on an Android system and connected to the Internet, the Star Trek worthy glasses are meant to capture information and let the wearer interact with it. Present on the Diane von Furstenberg runway for Spring 2013, the glasses are not yet mass produced, and still quite a controversy. Parker, on the other hand, covers Edit Magazine this March, and she talks about the Sex & The City prequel, The Carrie Diaries: “I’m not sure… You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity. She (AnnaSophie Robb) is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it’s… odd.” She also believes her show paved the way for other shows, such as Girls: “I think it certainly encouraged women to share more candidly. I don’t know if it empowered women. I hesitate to say whether we were the pioneers or whether we gave voice to something that was there, but I recognize there was a connection.”
