Portia De Rossi is all smiles in her oversized butterfly sunglasses and hoop earrings, during a casual Hollywood event. The actress, whose show Arrested Development returns on May 26th, covers Los Angeles Confidential this month. The show actually came back on air due to fan persistence. The actress says: “Every single person that came up to me and asked me about Arrested Development was great, and I would end up talking to them about what I thought was going on. The only thing I wouldn’t do is the chicken dance (laughs).” With a successful show coming and a great marriage in the bag, De Rossi appears to have it all. About her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, she says: “We were together for four solid years before we got married, but the minute we said ‘I do,’ the minute we stood up in front of our parents and our friends and committed to each other, our relationship changed. I don’t think people understand how important that little ceremony is and what it actually does to people.” Needless to say, she believes gay marriage is a very strong issue: “Gay marriage is the idea whose time has come. You can’t stop it,” she says.
