Kimmie’s engaged! Yep–another Kardashian sister is going to be an NBA wife: her New Jersey Nets’ beau of six months, Kris Humphries, just popped the question. But, the real news? The ring, of course. And, boy is it a doozie. Behold, a $2 million, 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz ring. Definitely what we’d come to expect for one of the world’s biggest divas. Apparently it was a complete surprise. She came home to find her boyfriend down on one knee in her bedroom. “Will you marry me?” was spelled out in rose petals. “I didn’t expect this at all … I was in such shock,” she told People mag. She also took the time to gush about the rock (or more like “mountain”) to the mag: “In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she said. “It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It’s perfect.” The ring, with its emerald cut, 16.5-carat center stone surrounded by two-carat trapezoid stones, out-does sis Khloe’s $850,000, radiant-cut ring from hubby Lamar Odom.
As for Humphries, it seems the basketball player had one thing on his mind in selecting the perfect ring. “I just knew I wanted it to be big!” he told People. And in that, he undoubtedly succeeded. After the proposal, a family celebration awaited the newly engaged couple — complete with mini-horses covered in glitter (whoa).
