Would you believe actor Ryan Gosling started as a mousketeer at age 12 on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Britney, Justin, and Christina? Well, he’s come a long way since, and at 30, has Academy Award (for Half Nelson) and Golden Globe (for Lars and the Real Girl and Blue Valentine) nominations under his belt. Though he has built a bit of a rep for playing misfits in independent films, he has also tackled commercially successful movies, including 2004’s romantic hit The Notebook. This year you’ll find him in a whopping three mainstream films–Crazy, Stupid, Love, Drive and the upcoming, much-buzzed-about political drama The Ides of March with George Clooney due out in theaters tomorrow.
In an interview with the UK’s The Times, hunky Ryan revealed he expects his golden years to arrive sooner rather than later. “I’ve been doing this since I was 12… I don’t want to act much longer,” he told the paper. Additionally, Ryan revealed he has fatherhood on the brain. “I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies,” he told the paper, via E!. “When someone comes along, I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies,” he quipped. Could his current love Eva Mendez be “the one?” No question about it, we love his rugged sporty style in these classic Carrera aviators. –rpuccia
