Demi Moore has plenty to think about with the scandalous end to her marriage from Ashton Kutcher, thereby, de-throning her as the the queen of the cougars. But the media can’t leave well enough alone and began focusing on something other than Ashton’s reported infidelities–her “painfully” thinning physique. In the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Demi admits that, indeed, she is thinner than usual lately, but who can blame her due to the circumstances. However, she’s apparently accepted how she looks, even if the public hasn’t, telling the mag, “that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age …” She says people are actually telling her “You’re too thin, and you don’t look good.” Like many women, getting to a state of “acceptance” about her body image wasn’t easy. “I have had a love-hate relationship with my body,” she explains.
Demi also (sort of) addresses her split in the interview. “I used to think that what scared me was the idea of being abandoned until someone said to me, ‘Only children can be abandoned. Adults can’t be abandoned because we have a choice.'” She says she dug deeper to understand what really scares her. “I think what scares me is not having the courage to reach my full potential.” And with three failed marriages behind her, she reveals her greatest fear : ultimately finding out that “I’m really not lovable, that I’m not worthy of being loved…That there’s something fundamentally wrong with me.” Don’t by into Demi, you’re truly FAB, especially in boyfriend jeans, strappy boots, and these cool Carrera aviators. –rpuccia
