Gwen Stefani has made an iconic uniform out of her platinum blonde hair, red lipstick and black and white ensembles. A recent trip to a meeting in Beverly Hills was no exception, the singer opting for an all black look with white sunglasses and her hair up in a messy ponytail. The 43 year old singer and her band, No Doubt, launched a new music video at the beginning of the month, but it was far from their usual success. Apparently, the video for “Lookin Hot” was released on YouTube only to be pulled out a few days later. Stefani was wearing Native American inspired outfits while dancing, fighting cowboys or being handcuffed to a wall, which was allegedly offensive to the respective community. Accordingly, the band withdrew the video and apologized: “Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are. As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people. This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. “
