In Gucci sunglasses with embellished temples, platinum blonde hair and a red lip, anyone would recognize the iconic Gwen Stefani. The singer, who has recently released a new album with No Doubt, landed the cover of Vogue, the January issue, and she certainly doesn’t look like she’s 43. “1 husband, 2 kids, 3 labels, 6 pack abs and plenty of cool,” goes her tagline on the coveted magazine cover. In the spread, Stefani is donning her signature androgynous style in black and white. She told the magazine: “I did the solo thing, but I felt like I was trying to play a character in a way, this Alice in Wonderland pretend version of myself. But this, being in No Doubt, is really who I am.” She continues: “Time kind of stops when you’re in a band. It’s this suspended childhood, and it’s really awesome, that part of it. But then when you have a family of your own, it forces you to go into the adult world a little bit more.” Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale have been together for 16 years, and the blonde talks about him with joy: “It’s pride … You feel proud. There are just so many rewards that come with it. You have to work at it. But, actually, it’s fun to get to this point. Because you learn so much about somebody. It’s like these wars that go on and then you kind of get through it to the other side, and it’s like, Wow,” continuing that kids add a whole new level to the picture.
