The two were actually joining Selena Gomez to see a Lakers game in LA at the time. The Vampire Diaries actress recently accompanied boyfriend Ian Somerhalder to the hospital, where they both posed with a 14 year old sick fan. “Sending congratulations to @kayla_0507 and her family. We all secreted this. Her life has been saved. I’m smiling ear to ear,” she tweeted afterwards. Soon after, the fan’s mother posted that her daughter received a new lung and will be able to leave a normal life. Dobrev and Somerhalder must be really proud of their accomplishment! Dobrev also emphasized the importance of giving, saying: “Ps. I’m an organ donor! Everyone should be! You can save someone’s life. I am grateful to Kayla’s fearless Hero.”
