Starting with the Gotham awards in November and ending with the Academy Awards in February, awards season is carefully placed right after Fashion Week. So it's only natural we would let our imagination run wild about potential outfits for our favorite celebrities…

1. Blake Lively in Burberry Prorsum

Blake Lively would rock Burberry Prorsum. Image c/o style.com

The former Gossip Girl actress has worn Burberry before, and stunned. Plus, she's got the perfect figure for hip-hugging lace skirts with embellishments and midi length, and the perfect complexion for wearing lilac.

2. Taylor Swift in Jenny Packman

Taylor Swift is a pastel master, so the soft mint Jenny Packman gown would suit her usual style. Plus, it's got that romantic touch that she loves so much – and some impressive beadwork.

3. Kristen Stewart in Fendi

Kristen Stewart would be the perfect Fendi girl. Image c/o style.com

Kristen can definitely rock a bold color, especially since she's not afraid of bold lipstick either! We'd love to see her in a Fendi mini dress and matching lips for a future event!

4. Alexa Chung in Honor

Alexa Chung would be suited for the Honor suit. Image c/o style.com

There's not much Alexa can't pull off, and she's known to experiment with masculine style. This suit, however, is filled with lace, which makes it pretty perfect for the starlet's aesthetics. No sunglasses on the red carpet, though, please and thank you!

5. Carey Mulligan in Oscar de la Renta

Would Carey Mulligan look great or amazing in Oscar de la Renta? Image c/o style.com

Carey loves her fit-and-flare dresses, as she does unusual colors and cuts. This classic cut Oscar de la Renta features asymmetries and a bold neon color that Carey could definitely pull off with a smokey eye.

6. Gwyneth Paltrow in Carolina Herrera

The perfect Carolina Herrera dress for Gwyneth Paltrow. Image c/o style.com

This dress seems to encompass all of Gwyneth's past dresses: you see her 1999 pink gown, her 2000 Oscars dress and her siren 2011 dress all in one. It's a pretty color, just a bit reminiscent of lingerie, and it looks stunning with added necklaces.

7. Rooney Mara in Marchesa

Would Marchesa be too much for Rooney Mara? Image c/o style.com

Rooney is known to have almost exclusively worn black or white to red carpet events. And since she likes textures and transparencies, why not try this Marchesa number? We think she'd nail it.

8. Elle Fanning in Dolce&Gabbana

Elle Fanning would make a nice Dolce&Gabbana girl. Image c/o style.com

Elle is cute in anything she wears, and she's always fashion forward. We think this Dolce&Gabbana dress is romantic, but also edgy with the applique flowers.

9. January Jones in Salvatore Ferragamo

January is all about edgy outfits, but we'd like to see her in a slightly more approachable, 20s inspired dress: low waist, midi length and pleated skirt, in an elegant shade of navy.

10. Nicole Kidman in Alberta Ferretti

Nicole has always been one for spectacular gown choices. This orange hue would compliment her hair perfectly, and the floral embroidery would be accessory enough for the look.
