The Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot celebrates its 20th anniversary with some of New York's best dressed ladies.
The designer celebrated the 20th anniversary of the famous knee-high boots with a special edition created in collaboration with Gilt. 10 exclusive new designs were launched, and the event attracted its fair share of fashion-forward celebrities. It's no wonder, since there's a $10k pair covered in Swarovski crystals!
Most attendees chose to wear knee boots themselves: Miranda Kerr was there in a pair of Stuart Weitzmans, with Nobody Denim jeans and a V-neck. She told Fashionista about the boot: “It’s comfortable, it’s timeless, it’s chic, it’s affordable–all things I look for when I’m buying shoes. And they’re amazing for me when I’m running around after my son!” The supermodel says she'd like to wear them with a maxi skirt, a cardigan and a big jacket this winter.
Olivia Palermo, who was also present at the event, wore a Rachel Zoe coat with lace sleeves and Weitzman boots, and she mentioned that the shoes elongate the leg and look good on anyone. “They’re very chic. I actually like them with a velvet spandex pant and a crisp white shirt–it’s very polished,” she said about wearing Stuart Weitzman boots as a wardrobe staple this winter.
Model Petra Nemcova was also in attendance, wearing an all-white pant-suit with nude heels and a sleek ponytail. We've also spotted What Not To Wear co-host, Stacy London, wearing a striped t-shirt with a burgundy blazer and cigarette pants. Padma Lakshmi, Angela Simmons, Hannah Bronfman and Johannes Huebl were also present at the event.
