The 30th edition of the Night of Stars Gala on October 22nd was packed with celebs.

The Fashion Group International hosted its annual event in New York, and it even managed to make some incorrigible celebrities dress up. We’re looking at you, Miley Cyrus, and your beautiful, sparkly Marc Jacobs gown in green glitter. Why do you have to go through 10 bad outfits of the fishnet type before you grown into a mermaid? This was, by far, the most surprising look of the evening, because with the rest of the good outfits, it’s just your regular best-dressed list ladies: Alexa Chung, who wore an all black Christopher Kane pant suit; or editor Carine Roitfeld, who picked a black jumpsuit with a very deep v-neck.

Also present at the event were Joan Smalls, in a white backless jumpsuit; Kate Upton in a burgundy glitter dress by Alaia (not her best look though); Zoe Kravitz in a crop top and maxi skirt; Aretha Franklin in a deux-pieces; Pamela Love in a 20s inspired dress; Karlie Kloss in a black shirt and pencil skirt; Diane Von Furstenberg; Iris Apfel; Marc Jacobs and Sofia Coppola.
