The event was held at the Shrine Auditorium on Thursday, May 1st, in Los Angeles.
One of our favorite looks of the evening was the stylish Gwen Stefani. The blond singer went for an all black look, with a high neck LBD with embellished details, fishnet stockings and studded pumps, as well as her signature red lip. The 44 year old star presented the Innovators Award to Pharrell Williams. The two have worked together for “Hella Good” and now they’ll be working together again, as co-judges on The Voice’s new season.
Rihanna was the definite star of the evening, going home with the awards for Hip Hop/R&B Song of the Year (“Pour it Up”), Best Fan Army, Song of the Year (“Stay”) and Artist of the Year. The singer wore all black with a see-through Givenchy Couture lace gown, Manolo Blahnik shoes and a leather jacket, as well as a 90’s style hairstyle with knots in her hair and dark lipstick.
Mel B went with a bold outfit for her red carpet appearance, and the ensemble looked great on her! The orange asymmetrical top and the crop pants were paired with pointy heels and an understated, sleek hairstyle.
Selena Gomez continued her series of fitted, crop top outfits with a burgundy Cushnie at Ochs twin set, and very natural looking make-up. In fact, so natural, that the singer/actress is almost unrecognizable.
This awards season was full for Jared Leto, who attended both music and film award ceremonies. After winning the Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, the 30 Seconds to Mars singer showed his locks at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in a blue jacket over a printed shirt, skirt over pants, aviator sunglasses and slip-ons. The band performed “City of Angels” at the awards.
Shakira looked rather cute on the red carpet, wearing a matching black and white look with a crop top and mini skirt from Alaia. Her Casadei shoes feature a small platform, double cross straps and a high heel. The 37 year old singer performed “Empire” at the awards.
