This year’s Met Gala was themed “Charles James, Beyond Fashion”, and this is how the celebrities interpreted it:

Jay Z & Beyonce opted for matching Givenchy couture outfits for the big evening, with Jay in a white jacket, black pants and bowtie, and Bey in a deep V-neck and high slit gown with sparkly inserts and a headpiece. The fabulous couple made quite an impression as usual.

Emma Stone showed us once again that redheads shouldn’t avoid red shades: her pink outfit featured a crop top and high slit skirt from Thakoon, with silver Miu Miu sandals. The actress looked radiant with her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, who wore a gray tuxedo by Band of Outsiders.

Models Jourdan Dunn & Toni Garrn made a perfect pair in their gorgeous dresses. Jourdan went for a yellow Topshop gown which complemented her skin tone, while Toni went baby blue and strapless, in a very Cinderella type of gown.

Model Suki Waterhouse looked stunning in her powder pink dress by Burberry, which featured a strapless top and big, ruffled skirt. She paired it with a slightly messy updo and a dark lip, which looked like a million bucks.

Diane Kruger made an appearance in a silver gown by Hugo Boss. The slim dress featured a mix of textures and thin straps, and it looks great with the box clutch the actress carried.

Things have changed since last year’s Met Gala, when it was rumored that Anna Wintour kicked out Kim Kardashian from the guest list. Meanwhile, the reality TV star got her own Vogue cover with Kanye West, and she’s made the best dressed list of the publication. For the event, she wore a flattering blue Lanvin gown, while Kanye went for a tux from the same designer.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds looked like they were having a blast on the red carpet. The actress wore a Gucci powder pink sparkly dress, while Ryan went with a black tux from the same Italian brand that his wife represents.

Red was the color of choice for Anne Hathaway, who wore a Calvin Klein Collection outfit with a strapless crop top and high slit maxi skirt. She also wore metallic pumps and a geometric clutch, as well as long earrings.

Selena Gomez looked flawless in a grape-colored gown by Diane von Furstenberg that showed off her figure. The mermaid dress was paired with long jeweled earrings and a sleek updo.

Dita Von Teese posed with Zac Posen while wearing one of his creations: a mermaid dress in blush pink, with red accents and a red lip. Meanwhile, the designer went for a long cape over his velvet jacket.
