- Aspiring writer Dan Humphrey on the teen fave Gossip Girl is played by none other than hunky Penn Badgley, who first got involved with acting with the Seattle Children’s Theatre. He began doing voice-overs for children’s radio stations and relocated to Hollywood to advance his career at the tender age of 11. Penn’s made appearances in episodes of several popular TV shows, includingWill and Grace and What I Like About You. He can also be seen in the 2007 straight-to-DVD horror movie Drive Thru with Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester as well as the just-released Easy A , which features What I Like About You’s Amanda Bynes.
