It’s old news, but Lindsay Lohan was charged with felony grand theft in February for reportedly snatching a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store the month before. As you might already know, our gal LiLo plead “not guilty” and was subsequently released on bond, but then plead guilty and was sentenced to four months in the slammer. Celeb status must pay off, because Lindsay was sent to her house instead of the Big House. Jail authorities outfitted the down-and-out actress / occasional fashion designer with a not-so fashionable ankle bracelet to monitor her whereabouts, and dropped her off in Venice, CA where she’ll serve out her sentence in her own townhouse.
Most people would hate the thought of being confined anywhere, but Linds supposedly stocked up on canvases so she can paint away her stress. Canvases?! Sources claim that she’s looking at her confinement as a “time to relax, focus on her recovery and figure out her new game plan for her life and career.” It certainly won’t be a week at the spa, but it’s gotta beat hanging out behind bars. Lindsay looks pretty darn glamorous in these feminine Chloe sunglasses, but once her house arrest is complete she’ll be performing 480 hours of community service at a women’s shelter and working as a janitor at the L.A. County morgue.
