Demi Lovato is back on the music scene! After a roller coaster year that included quitting the Jonas Brothers’ tour and a very public stint in rehab for “emotional and physical issues,” the teen queen has returned to the studio to make new music–and a fresh start. Her fresh start also included, of course, leaving her popular Disney show, Sonny With a Chance, explaining that returning to the show would not be “healthy for my recovery.” In the latest issue of Seventeen magazine, Demi acts as a contributing editor, writing a note to her fans about how much returning to work means to her. “With my new album, I’m hoping to provide inspiration for girls everywhere who are going through the same issues I’ve faced,” admits Demi, who has struggled with an eating disorder, depression and cutting herself. She adds that the entire album-making process has been amazing so far and that there are definitely a lot of emotions that go into making it. “I feel blessed, inspired, and nervous with anticipation, but mostly, I feel excited about the future, and about sharing this new record with my fans!”

The 18-year-old singer has also made it clear that she’s ready to play her new tunes live. “I need to tour,” she recently tweeted. “Wake me up when I can tour.” Sounds like someone is ready to hit the road–and not a moment too soon, especially in these fab Versace shades, available in three frame hues including a funky wood-grain pattern.  –rpuccia
