Robin Thicke says his latest album release, “Love After War,” is reflective of the life-changing experience of becoming a father. The hunky crooner and his “impossibly” stunning wife, Paula Patton of the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol with Tom Cruise, are parents to 20-month-old Julian Fuego. Robin admits that while their young one is “the greatest thing that has ever happened” to him, the couple hit a few rough patches while adjusting to having a child. “It was hard when we became parents, because we had to balance our careers with this new person in our lives,” Robin told People magazine recently in Miami. “I lost my mojo for awhile. (hard to believe!) But finally we hit a rhythm, and we are more in love than ever and so supportive of each other,” he continued. “We’re both crazy about our son.”
With Paula currently traversing the globe to promote M:I 4 and Robin preparing for his latest album launch (his fifth studio record), the power pair is missing their little one. He told the mag this is the longest either of them have been away from Julian and it is hard for both, adding that Paula’s mom is taking care of Julian in their absence. “We talk to him constantly on Skype, and he seems to understand his parents are off doing their thing, which is good for him.” The trio, however, will soon be reunited as Robin heads is slated to head back to California. “In two weeks, I fly to Los Angeles and grab him so we can be together in New York for his mother’s movie premiere there,” he said. “We are all about family.” Here, Robin’s a hunk-of-a-dad in classic cool Ray Ban aviators, available in dozens of frame/lens color combos. –rpuccia
