Constantly on the best dressed lists, Diane Kruger is a huge fan of her Yves Saint Lauren sunglasses, wearing them on an everyday basis with various casual looks. Her fashion sense might have to do with her lifelong friendship with Karl Lagerfeld, we assume: “I’ve known him since I was 16 years old and today he’s both a friend and a neighbor,” she said. After winning the role of Marie Antoinette in “Farewell, My Queen”, she immediately called the style guru: “”He is obsessed with Versailles and Marie Antoinette. When I got the part of the queen he was one of the first people I called, and I walked over to his home and picked his brain for inspiration.” Kruger did some old-school research, too, reading the queen’s biography and trying to better understand her character. After leaving the gowns of the queen aside, Kruger is moving on to her next part, in “Green Blade Rising”, a parody in which she tackles a 19th century rural Kentucky accent. We will also see her in Guillaume Gallienne‘s tragicomedy “Me, Myself and Mom”.
