Elizabeth Banks’ latest movie, “Pitch Perfect”, is a musical comedy happening in a university campus. In an article on her site, elizabethbanks.com, the 38 year old discusses if looks and comedy are or aren’t interrelated: “My new movie, Pitch Perfect, features women of every size and stripe and is utterly hilarious. The best part is: it is obvious they are all beautiful. And 30 Rock’s Kay Cannon, who happens to be a gorgeous woman with a wicked sense of humor, wrote it.” She doesn’t take the lead, though: “Here’s my problem: I am a character actor stuck in a leading lady’s body,” Banks said. “The industry keeps sticking me in the character roles!” Just think of “The Hunger Games”, “30 Rock” or older hits “The 40 Year Old Virgin” and “Spiderman 3”. The actress will also be part of the crew for the Hunger Games sequel, out next year. If leading actress is not her thing, maybe producing is: her first project is a comedy for CBS. What we know so far is that it’s about a feminist who moves to L.A. to be a professor’s assistant, but ends up living with two gals of the Playboy bunny type. Does that sound fun?
