Gossip Girl is now at its final season, and Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Waldorf, is struggling with both her career and her love life. Meester seems relieved to have filmed the final episode, and although we don’t know the ending yet, we know hot it ends for the actress: short haired! After 6 years of being Blair, Meester cut her hair in a bob: ‘I love it….My long, wavy hair got a lot of mileage, so it was time for a change,’ she said. It’s also time for her to move to the big screen, as she’s just wrapped up work on That’s My Boy, with Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg. ‘I think the best part is that now I can pretty much do whatever I want with my life. I can visit my family as much as I want and be open for other projects. I think you sort of get into a comfort zone when you are on a show for so long and you stop being stimulated by the character. As much as I loved the people I work with, I’m ready to move on. I don’t want to be a Blair-like character in a movie, ever,’the actress added.
