Recently spotted at Disneyland, Christina Aguilera and boyfriend Matt Rutler wore matching blue Mickey Mouse hoodies – perhaps nostalgic for the beginning of Aguilera’s career, with the Mickey Mouse Club? Or was it a way for her 4 year old, Max, to be part of her heritage? The 31 year old singer launched a new record this year, called “Your Body”, which was inspired by bullies. Aguilera says that many of her hit songs were inspired by this theme: ‘I have definitely experienced forms of bullying, and that’s why it’s so important for me to write songs like Beautiful and Fighter. On this current record, Lotusis all about being an unbreakable flower that survives the test of time. Throughout the roughest of surroundings and harshest weather conditions it remains strong and thrives.’ As for her season of “The Voice”, it ended prematurely for Aguilera, as her last contestant was eliminated. ‘The bottom line is this show is not about the competition between us coaches – it’s about their journey up there and what they take away from here,’ Aguilera commented on the topic.
