The singer appears on another cover of Vogue, the British May issue. She speaks her mind about equal rights in a interview with the renown fashion mag: “But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman. I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it’s something that’s pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept.” The diva also mentions that her job is highly demanding, and even though she’s always bruised on an arm or leg or something, “you’ve already started so you’ve just gotta fight through it.” A true survivor message, as anyone would expect from the 30 year old performer.
