Olivia Palermo is chic in a pair of cat eye Persol sunglasses, a khaki parka, skinny jeans and animal print Mulberry heels. Now with a fashion icon status under her belt, Palermo doesn’t remember what brought her where she is today. ‘I think from the beginning of my career… being in television… that was completely – it was just ridiculous, it was not me at all,’ she said about the reality show The City, for which she earned up to $12,000 per episode. Then, she said: ‘It’s a little disappointing. I’m a much nicer person, much more laid back and relaxed, not serious like they show me. They can only use so much footage in 30 minutes so I think that they really narrow it down and sometimes it doesn’t come out exactly how I would like.’ The truth is, Palermo does seem way more fun on her blog than she ever did on screen.
