Filling the shoes of a young, flawless William Shatner as Star Trek’s James T. Kirk would be a daunting task. Well, Chris Pine nailed it in the ’09, J.J. Abrams-directed blockbuster opposite fellow young Hollywood heavyweights Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto. Chris has a bit of lineage in the biz, as he is the son of Robert Pine, who portrayed Sergeant Joseph Getraer in the TV series CHiPs. His first notable roles were at the polar opposite ends of the character spectrum–one of the psychotic neo-Nazi Tremor brothers, Darwin, in the star-studded flick Smokin’ Aces and the prince-worthy romantic hunk, Nicholas Devereaux, in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement with Anne Hathaway. Speaking of flawless, he is just that in these chic Persol sunglasses which come in three classic frame colors. Chris is back at it in the film Unstoppable with Denzel Washington which hits theaters next week and there are rumors that he’s in talks to become the next Jack Ryan in a reboot of Tom Clancy’s novels.
