Rylan Clark of X-Factor was paid a surprise visit by Geri Halliwell, who showed him a thing or two from her Spice Girls repertoire. The contestant was rehearsing one of the girl-group’s hits when Geri appeared, overwhelming him. ‘When you did the Olympics I was round my mate’s house and they were all dressed up as athletes and I was dressed up as you!’ he told Halliwell about her recent performance at the Olympic Games in London. The five girls are currently working on a musical themselves, “Viva Forever”, and Halliwell thinks their role in the world has always been grande: “The show is about bringing the Spice legacy to a new generation. Spice Girls is about unifying the world – every age, every gender, everyone. It’s woman power, it’s an essence, a tribe.” The says the band was so successful in the late 90s because everyone could relate to them. Now 40, Halliwell joined the cast of “Singing in the Rain” on stage, for charity. She told the press that performing with Adam Cooper was a dream come true, and she did everything flawlessly. And since she’s one for a casual look these days, check out Geri wearing a navy polo t-shirt and a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses, aviator style!
