The Superbowl XLVIII was announced for February 2nd, and it’s going to be the first time that it’s played outside, in cold weather conditions. Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. will be the host of the highly anticipated event, which airs nationally on FOX and can be streamed online on FoxSports.com.
Out of 12 finalist teams, only two will play on the big night: Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. It’s the first time in 15 years that the Broncos made it to the Super Bowl, which makes it their seventh appearance. For the Seahawks, this will be their second title game. The game will be a chance for Denver’s quarterback, Peyton Manning, to make the record books as The Best Quarterback of All Time with his third Super Bowl appearance.

For the famous halftime show, the main performer will be Bruno Mars, after last year’s Beyonce and Destiny’s Child reunion. The artist has been named Billboard’s Artist of the Year 2013, so it’s no wonder he’s been chosen for the most watched music event of the year. Mars will also be joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers on stage, it has been announced.
