Dita von Teese admitted that the way she looks isn’t all natural: she doesn’t just crawl out of bed looking stunning and she’s had cosmetic surgery done. The burlesque diva thinks it’s important everyone knows that, so that young girls don’t create impossible expectations from themselves. Von Teese worked for 7 years in a lingerie store, during her teens, and now it’s time for her to launch her own line: “Von Follies”, available online and in select stores. What’s more, Marilyn Manson‘s ex-wife launched a dress collection in Australia this month, in her signature vintage inspired style. The collection contains five pieces, and it’s called “Dita von Teese Muse”. “Offering a collection that caters to women of all sizes is very important to me. Muse is designed to complement a multitude of body shapes, so every woman can celebrate her natural beauty and feel sexy in a gorgeous dress,” the diva says about her collection ranging from sizes 8 to 20. The 40 year old burlesque dancer remembers that she was shy when she was younger, and she’s wasn’t the beauty of her family, either: ‘I felt like the ugly duckling. I make jokes about having classic middle child syndrome but I definitely think that has a lot to do with why I am the way I am today.’ These days, nothing is ugly about the brunette. Just check her out on the cover of S Moda, with a naked male model by her side, and you’ll see what we mean.
