Unlike her character on Pretty Little Liars, Hale is all about comfort in her fashion choices.

Lucy Hale carries the cutest puppy in her photo shoot for Lucky Magazine, and she looks like a big time fashionista. But the actress revealed that this is not really her style. On the contrary – most days, she’ll be wearing baggy sweats and Nike sneakers. She’s not one to dress up if she doesn’t have to, as she’d much rather be comfortable. Hale, who is on the cover of the August issue of the mag, made it clear that she doesn’t have her character’s fashion forward sense: if Aria Montgomery is a trendsetter, then Hale is more of a regular kind of gal. However, she did invest in a few “grown-up purchases” recently, including a Celine bag, a Chanel one, and a pair of Louboutins. She admitted that her extensive heels collection is a bit wasted, since she’s always wearing heels.

Growing up in Memphis made Hale the person she is today, and she’s often being told she has a “small town vibe”. She even dreams of one day going back to Tennessee to have a family, but for now, she’d rather stay single. That’s probably because all her favorite men are either too old for her, or unavailable: Steve Carrel, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Wahlberg are her top 3 choices. As for fashion icons, she loves the style of Kate Moss, Rachel Bilson, Emma Watson, Amanda Seyfried and Selena Gomez, and feels like she’s still has a lot to learn in this field.

Pictured here in something closer to her everyday look, Hale is wearing leggings, Toms, a cardigan and Ray Ban sunglasses, looking young and fresh as any girl her age. Some might say, even too young: the actress told Lucky magazine that, despite being 24, she doesn’t get as many adult roles as she’d like. But she’s patient – she’ll still play Aria and she’s got a country album coming up this fall. There’s plenty of time to grow up later.
