The rapper did not appreciate the comedian's spoof.
It's not funny when it's about you! That seems to be Kanye West's opinion about a segment Jimmy Kimmel did on him. It all started when Kanye was interviewed by BBC, and had a bit of a ramble. Natually, Jimmy took the interview, transcribed it, and hired child actors to reenact it. That did not go well for Kanye, who immediately took to his favorite social media network, Twitter, to share his true thoughts. “JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS,” was the first tweet on the subject, followed by many others. He also mentions that photographers try to jump over his fence to take pictures of his daughter, that Kimmel is ugly and less funny than Sarah Silverman, among other more offensive things. The rapper has never been one to hide his feelings, and Twitter has always worked just fine for him.
Kanye finished his tweeting marathon with some self-made art, including this collage of Jimmy Kimmel and another one, which featured cartoon character Sponge Bob. In response to all this, Kimmel had his fair share of funny tweet replies (“I like you too! Glad we cleared this up. RT @kanyewest I LIKE YOU, YOU KNOW ME, I WENT TO YOUR FAMILY'S WEDDING” or “I swear, @kanyewest one more of these I WILL unfollow you #warning #Goshdarnit”), and then proceeded to read Kanye's tweets in his show on Thursday. “He told me I had two choices: number one, apologize publicly. And that was really the only choice,” the TV host says.
